1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Rain City Redesigns Ltd ("we," "us," "our") and the customer ("you," "your") for upholstery, furniture restoration, and upcycling services. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms below.

2. Quotations & Payments

• All quotations are valid for 6 months from the date issued.

• A 25% non-refundable booking fee is required before work commences, with the balance payable upon completion.

• Full payment must be received before the release or delivery of completed items.

• We accept payment via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or cash.

3. Customer-Supplied Fabric & Materials

• If you provide fabric, you are responsible for ensuring it is suitable for upholstery.

• We charge a 15% cutting fee for using customer fabric.

• We are not liable for defects, fading, wear, or damage to customer-supplied materials.

• All fabric must comply with UK fire safety regulations.

• Please note if the fabric is more than 75% natural materials, it is inherently fire safe. It will, however, have to be backed with an FR calico or wool barrier, which will be chargeable.

4. Fabric & Material Variations

• We are not responsible for slight variations in fabric colour, texture, or pattern placement.

• Natural fading over time due to sunlight or environmental factors is not covered under any warranty.

• We advise using UV-resistant treatments for fabric longevity.

5. Liability for Damage & Wear

• We are not liable for any damage, staining, or wear caused by pets, children, or general use.

• We are not responsible for damage caused by spills, cleaning products, or inappropriate care.

• If you choose to have antique or fragile items restored, we will take utmost care but cannot be held responsible for unforeseen structural weaknesses.

6. Upcycling & Paintwork

• Due to the nature of upcycling, we are not responsible for any imperfections, pre-existing weaknesses, or structural issues in secondhand furniture.

• Paint finishes may vary due to wood type, previous treatments, and environmental conditions.

• We are not responsible for paint chipping, wear, or reactions to cleaning products, humidity, or general use.

• Customers must follow recommended care instructions for upcycled items.

7. Timeframes & Delays

• Estimated completion dates are subject to change due to material availability or unforeseen circumstances.

• We will communicate any delays as soon as possible.

• We are not responsible for delays from suppliers and/or wholesalers.

• We are not responsible for delays from third-party couriers or delivery services.

8. Collection & Delivery

• You must collect completed items within 14 days of notification. Storage charges may apply beyond this period. Storage is charged at £50 per week.

• Third-party delivery services are available at an additional cost, and we are not liable for any damage occurring during transport by third-party couriers. Photograph your items for proof before and after they leave your property.

9. Guarantee & Repairs

• Our workmanship is guaranteed for 1 year from completion.

• This does not cover wear and tear, improper use, or damage caused by external factors.

• Any warranty claims must be made in writing with photographic evidence.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

• Non-refundable booking fees will not be reimbursed.

• If an order is cancelled after work has started, then the item will be returned to the customer in its present state at the customer's expense.

• Materials already purchased will have to be reimbursed.

11. Force Majeure

• We are not liable for delays or failure to complete work due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, supply chain disruptions, illness, etc.).

12. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with our services and/or accepting your estimate you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
